On this episode of Movie And A Beer, we discuss the Oscar award-winning best picture Nomadland and enjoy a few beers while watching. This film depicts the population of people that live as 'nomads'. They roam the desert SW and midwest of the U.S. living out of their vehicles working part-time and seasonal jobs while enjoying a life free of the oppression of the mighty dollar. Most of them are of the baby boomer generation that either lost their careers, homes, and families during the great recession in 2008 or have chosen to live the nomad lifestyle.\nThe two beers we enjoyed during the film were a locally made American Adjunct Lager from Grains of Wrath Brewing and an imported red-bean, vanilla, and cocoa stout from Japas Cervejaria.
