Filmmaker Kate Melville
Director/writer/producer Kate Melville visits Movie Addict HQ to discuss\xa0Picture Day, her award-winning film which is being released in the U.S. on the same day. This\xa0unusual coming-of-age comedy\xa0has already earned recognition on the festival circuit, including an Audience Choice Award at the Riverrun International Film Festival and Best New Canadian Feature Film at the\xa0Whistler Film Festival. Kate grew up in Toronto and studied film production at Concordia University in Montreal. She worked as a story editor and script writer for such television series as Degrassi: The Next Generation, Being Erica, and Endgame.
