Oculus - A Descent Into Madness

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are avoiding all mirrors, even the ordinary IKEA ones, like our life depends on it (because it freaking does). We watched the 2014 film from Mike Flanagan, Oculus.

This could be significantly worse than a Bloody Mary situation. If memory serves, saying that creature\u2019s name three times summons it and then, surprise surprise, it kills you where you stand.

This damn Oculus mirror, though? What a hideous jerk this thing is. Not only are you going to end up dead, but it\u2019s going to toy with you along the way. It\u2019s going to mess you up emotionally before it destroys you physically.

And is there a single thing you can do about it? Nope. You can\u2019t even be certain that you\u2019re walking away from and escaping its field of evil influence. It might be tricking your mind into thinking you\u2019re leaving while you\u2019re still standing right in front of it.

What a terrible mirror. And I\u2019ll just go ahead and say it: The thing doesn\u2019t even look all that great. Here that, Mirror? You\u2019re ugly! Yeah, I said it.
