This is part two of three articles will be about the big question when it comes to weight-loss and gaining health: The Why Question. Because that "why question" is very important when it comes to loosing weight and keeping it off. There are those common answers, "I want to lose weight so I can be there for my kids." And, "I want to lose weight so I can be respected." But, what if there were no children to "be there" for? And do we really need the respect of others who don't respect us as-is? If we are losing weight for others then how motivated will we be when they let us down? And they will let us down...heck...we are good about letting ourselves down (right?).
Let me tell you a story about a boy, his Sears and Roebuck Toughskin Jeans and his arch enemy…Mindy and her group of Go-Go-Girls-wanna-be’s. And, at the end of the podcast, you may start to realize that other people really and truly think about you...but not in the way you think they do. We'll discuss some pretty deep (and maybe a bit hard to comprehend) psychological truths as to what others really think when they think about us. Do we care about what others think? Maybe we'd like to think "NO!" But deep down you know that's not true.
