Let’s start this week right off with my approach to losing weight and keeping it off. I have found that there are three aspects to a total health paradigm shift.
Mental – Change your brain and you’ll change your life.
Spiritual – Looking at postponing pleasure…not denying it…but postponing it and enduring a bit of discomfort now in order to enjoy the benefits later.
Physical – The third aspect of a total health paradigm shift after training your brain and listening to your heart is to let the physical changes happen automatically. And they will. Maybe by focusing only on what we can’t eat and how much we exercise (the physical), we are missing on the real reason we just can’t seem to lose weight. Maybe that real reason is we fail to address the mental and spiritual aspect of health and weight-loss. What if we focused less on the physical (less focus vs not absent of focus) and paid more attention to the mental and spiritual parts we’d get a different outcome.
