Where does the Confirmation pledge come from?

The Pledge is a promise that kids make during the Holy Communion process in 5th or 6th class. Confirmation season is here and 90% of the primary schools in the country remain under Catholic patronage. This is in spite of the fact that a new study revealed that more than half of teachers in Catholic schools \u201cdo not believe in a personal God\u201d.
