Trinity College Dublin Students\u2019 Union (TCDSU) has called for a \u201cformal and insightful investigation\u201d into the college\u2019s participation in university rankings systems as part of the Union of Students Ireland's call to leave the rankings system if a university wishes to do so.

In an email sent to Provost Linda Doyle, TCDSU President L\xe1szl\xf3 Moln\xe1rfi said university rankings prompt unnecessary academic competition, misalignment of values and academic integrity and \u201cmay also cause social exclusion and exclusionary managerialism by numbers\u201d. 

L\xe1szl\xf3 joined Se\xe1n to make the case for exiting the rankings.
