Is it ok to eat mouldy cheese?

We've all been there \u2013 that moment when you excitedly swing open the fridge door, ready to indulge in your favourite cheese, only to be met with the disheartening sight of a pesky mould invasion. The question that inevitably pops into your mind: can you just trim the mouldy bits off and savour the rest?
