29 bodies to be exhumed at Mountjoy Prison

An excavation is to take place at Mountjoy Prison to exhume the bodies of 29 bodies.  

The 28 men and one woman were all executed for murder between 1923 and 1954.  

But what were their stories? Why are they being exhumed now and what will happen to their remains?
