David Halperin is the author of Intimate Alien: \u201cThe Hidden Story of the UFO.\u201d David was a teen UFOlogist who grew up to become a professor of religious studies at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He had a special interest in religious traditions of heavenly ascensions and otherworldly journeys. While David no longer believes in UFOs, they\u2019ve never ceased to cast their spell over him.
