What is mindfulness?

If you're new to mindfulness or already practice, refreshing the fundamentals every so often is worthwhile. Mindfulness is about the here and now - focusing 100% of your attention on whatever you\u2019re doing, being present with whatever you\u2019re experiencing. Trying to be calm or happy doesn\u2019t work - chasing after things which will make us happy doesn\u2019t tend to either. Practicing mindfulness doesn\u2019t switch off difficult emotions but through regular practice it can help us to transform difficult feelings and limit the damage that anxiety, anger and sadness can do to ourselves and others.
