[INTERVIEW] PELVIC FLOOR & CORE health for PRE, DURING & POST pregnancy with MEGAN LUKE

I'm so excited for you to hear this conversation that I had with Megan Luke (who works for 4th Trimester Fitness® Method) all about pelvic floor & core health!

 

Here's a little bit about Megan:

Megan Luke is a Navy wife to her helicopter flying husband and mother of 3 sweet little ones. She is graduate of Marquette University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She spent 5 years as a RN in the Labor and Delivery and Mother/Baby Unit before leaving the hospital after having her second baby in January 2018. During that time she discovered a passion for fitness through running accountability groups with other moms, BUT she missed working with the prenatal and postpartum population. In February 2020, she combined both passions and became a certified instructor with 4th Trimester Fitness® Method. Today, she continues to serve the prenatal and postpartum populations by teaching Birth Ball Basics™️, Postpartum Recovery® Fitness and Pelvic Floor, Core & More™.

Birth Ball Basics™:

For ALL trimesters of pregnancy

For any type of delivery--vaginal or cesarean, home or hospital, medicated or unmedicated

You will learn to use the ball in pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum.  We review how to use to ball to strengthen the pelvic floor and core, train your body for labor, for labor and birthing positions, and so much more!

A one-time, 3 hour clinic

 

Postpartum Recovery® Fitness:

For any postpartum woman as early has 10 days post vaginal delivery and 6 weeks post cesarean delivery.

The main focus of this class is recovery, pelvic floor muscles training, perineal recovery, diastasis recti recognition and repair,  and core restore.  We also have an educational portion at the end of each class focusing on specific topics that postpartum women may struggle with.

This is the first step in returning to fitness after having a baby in a way that will recover and heal the postpartum body.

A 6-week series, meeting once a week for 1 hr and 15 min

 

Pelvic Floor, Core & More™:

For ANY woman of ANY age.  If you have a pelvic floor, this class is for you!

This class guides women to understanding pelvic floor and core health.

This can be a great option for women who have had babies, are out of that newer postpartum phase, but still feel they need help with recovery.

Participants leave with an at-home workout program to use at home to strengthen weakened areas.  An educational portion of the clinic also addresses common concerns that women struggle with.

A one-time 3 hour clinic
