Are the decisions you’re making what YOU want or what OTHERS want for you?

I cannot wait to chat about this topic because this is something I experienced very recently!

Are you doing what you want or what you think others think you should be doing? Are you making decisions based off of the need of approval or because you want to please people. 

When we're not in alignment, we're allowing other people's opinions to cloud our judgment.

If you’re not strong in yourself & have a relationship with your inner self that you foster by getting quiet & listening, it’s going to be super easy to allow other people’s opinions sway you into doing something that doesn’t feel right to YOU.

Questions that have helped me that you might want to ask yourself:

  1. Are you creating space where you can be quiet with yourself & your thoughts on a regular basis?
  2. If not, how can you do that? What will that look like for you? (seated meditation, yoga, walking/driving/showering in silence, journaling etc)
  3. What will happen if you don’t trust yourself? How bad could it get?
  4. What will happen if you DO trust yourself? How good could it get?

When we feel anger, guilt, shame, or just off- it’s bc we’re not in alignment with our inner being.

Our inner being knows what’s best for US. NOT what we THINK is best or what we THINK will make other people happy.

When those feelings come up where you feel off, upset or resentful, ask yourself

  1. What do YOU actually want?
  2. What’s best for YOU.

Give yourself permission to take a minute to figure it out if you don’t know right away.
