Joey was born with a rare condition called Macrodystrophia lipomatosa, a rare form of localized gigantism. Joey has had multiple surgeries throughout his life since the age of 2. Recently Joey had a big surgery and is getting used to his new knee. Throughout it all, Joey has continued to push through his pain and suffering, continually working hard as an activist to bring about positive change for a more free and open society.

He was an integral part of decriminalizing psilocybin mushrooms in Denver, walking door to door as one of the lead signature getters for the campaign. Joey works in the cannabis industry and is the Executive Director Of Psychedelic Club.
