Everyone knows that Satan rebelled against God. But rebellion is not a specific class of things, in fact it is a response more than a particular action. Rebellion comes in as many forms as compliance. So it behooves us to understand what Satan specifically did not just in the Garden of Eden but in his corruption of mankind. The devil is working in the world. But what he is doing is subtle and nuanced. He is not going around killing people though we think this is the epitome of evil. Satan does not want dead people he wants spiritually damaged people.
