The Republican Error
The Founding Fathers erred in their design. The people have no greater right to power than monarchs. This is obvious in everyday life. For the most part we spend the money we earn and operate the businesses we create. When considering an operation or which house to purchase we do not ask a random group of people to vote on the issue. There is a group that has earned the right to exercise political power and a way to systematically transfer power back into their hands.
