Equality was a big thing at one time but now the accent is on equity. There is a reason why equality has fallen out of favor and it is not because it did not produce good outcomes, as some memes suggest. The equality agenda failed, because this world operates under a federalist system and equality is impossible if federalism is the operational constant. We need to get rid of federalism to make it possible to have equality, otherwise we are dealing with two different things which are logically incompatible.
