One of the most pervasive lies of Western society is that there are no normal people. In the liberal world view, all persons are to some degree mentally damaged or harmed. But this begs the question. If there are no normal people, what defines a sick person? To be sick is to deviate from the norm. It is incoherent to claim normalcy does not exist. Conservatives believe there is a moral norm and there are normal people. Conservatives seek to define and protect it and to resists attempts to dislodge and discredit it. The New Conservatives agitate for normalcy to be made the accepted social norm and empirically demonstrate it is normal to be normal and normal to desire normalcy be the moral norm guiding all political policy everywhere.
