SERMON POINT #1 – UNCERTAINTY IS NORMAL

Matthew 6:25-27, 31-34 – “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the bird of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can you one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? … So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father know that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

SERMON POINT #2 – IN UNCERTAIN TIMES, PUT GOD FIRST

Matthew 6:33 – But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

SERMON POINT #3 – GOD CALLS US INTO UNCERTAINTY

Genesis 12:1 – The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.”

Genesis 12:2-3 – “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
