Isaiah 61:1-4 \u2013 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord\u2019s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion \u2013 to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. \n\nSermon Point # 1 \u2013 Jesus Came So I Can Experience Freedom\n\nGalatians 5:1 \u2013 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.\u201d\n\nSermon Point # 3 \u2013 True Freedom Begins In My Mind\n\nRomans 12:2 \u2013 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God\u2019s will is \u2013 his good, pleasing and perfect will.\n\nExodus 6:6 \u2013 Therefore, say to the Israelites: \u2018I am the Lord and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. \n\nGalatians 4:4-7 (NLT) \u2013 But when the right time came, God sent his son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. And because we are his children, God has sent the spirit of his son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, \u201cAbba, Father.\u201d Now, you are no longer a slave, but God\u2019s own child, God has made you his heir .\n\n1 Peter 2:16-17 \u2013 Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God\u2019s slaves. Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor
