Hebrews 10:23 NLT - Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

THE PROMISE OF THE Holy Spirit

John 14:15-16 - “If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever - the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor know him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you."

SERMON POINT #1 - HOLY SPIRIT IS TEACHER

John 14:26 - But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

SERMON POINT #2 - HOLY SPIRIT IS CONSCIENCE

John 16:7-8 NLT - But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgement.

SERMON POINT #3 - HOLY SPIRIT IS GUIDE

John 16:13 - But when he, the Spirit of Truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will only speak what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

Isaiah 30:21 - Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

SERMON POINT #4 - I NEED THE HOLY SPIRIT TO CHANGE ME

2 Corinthians 3:17-18 NLT - For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord - who is the Spirit - makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
