Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don\u2019t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.\n\n\u201cIn essentials \u2013 unity, in non-essentials \u2013 liberty, is all things \u2013 charity.\u201d\n\n1 John 2:15-17 - Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world\u2014the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life\u2014comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.\n\nRomans 12:2 - Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God\u2019s will is\u2014his good, pleasing and perfect will.\n\nJames 4:4 - You adulterous people, don\u2019t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God?
