Local apprentice Susan Thompson on International Women's Day
Multi-skilled apprentice from Kirkby, Susan Thompson, joined Mick Coyle in the studio to talk about how being a woman in a predominantly male industry.
\n\n\nSusan tried apprenticeships in hair, beauty and dance but realised it wasn't for her.\xa0 She then found an apprenticeship in plastering, plumbing and joinery and she wants to urge more women to get involved in the construction industry.
