This was a first, I actually recorded over a film that is still in theaters, so be aware of spoilers. Barbie and Ken are having the time of their lives in the colorful and seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land. However, when they get a chance to go to the real world, they soon discover the joys and perils of living among humans.

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce rose gin (preferably Glendalough Rose Gin)\xa0
  • \n
  • \xbd ounce elderflower liqueur\xa0
  • \n
  • \xbd ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed\xa0
  • \n
  • 3 ounces cranberry juice\xa0
  • \n
  • Sparkling wine, to top\xa0
  • \n
  • Lemon slice, for garnish\xa0
  • \n
  • Edible pink or purple flowers, for garnish (optional)

  1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice and cranberry juice and shake to combine, about 10 seconds.

  3. Strain into a large rocks glass. Add ice to the glass.
  4. \n
  5. Top with sparkling wine and garnish with a lemon slice and flowers.

Malibu Barbie Pink Cocktail (everydayshortcuts.com):

  • 2\xa0oz\xa0coconut rum
  • \n
  • 1\xa0oz\xa0pineapple juice
  • \n
  • 1\xa0oz\xa0cranberry juice
  • \n
  • 1\xa0oz\xa0orange juice
  • \n
  • Splash of grenadine
  • \n
  • Pink sanding sugar for rimming
  • \n
  • Pineapple wedge and cherry for garnish
  • \n

  1. Rim the edge of a chilled cocktail glass with pink sanding sugar. To do this, dip the rim of the glass in a shallow dish of Karo corn syrup, then dip it in a separate shallow dish of pink sanding sugar, turning the glass to coat the rim evenly.

  3. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the coconut rum, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, orange juice, and grenadine. Shake well for 30 seconds to combine or until well chilled.

  5. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass filled with ice.
  6. \n
  7. Garnish the cocktail with a pineapple wedge and cherry.
  8. \n
  9. Serve immediately! Cheers!
