Many people think and feel, they are self-aware but reseach shows less  than 15% of people are actually are. We see ourself one way but people  in our closest circle see us in different way. Self-Awareness led to  self-Acceptance, Compassion and Empathy which will helps to navigate our  intra-interpersonal relationships. Minimise suffering and pains.
