Many\nbelievers have never taken \u2018ownership\u2019 of what God has given them - of\nwhat they already possess! They have great and powerful tools in their\nhands that much of the time are not recognised and seldom used. Yet 2 Peter 1:3-4 declares, \u201cHis\ndivine power has given to us all things that pertain to life (the\nnatural) and godliness (the spiritual), through the knowledge of Him\nwho called us by His own glory and virtue, by which have been given to\nus exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these\n(promises) you may be partakers of the divine nature.\u201d \xa0

The Moffatt translation says, \u201cInasmuch\nas His power divine has bestowed upon us every requisite for life and\ngodliness by the knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and\nexcellence - bestowing on us thereby promises precious and supreme,\nthat by means of them (the promises) you would participate in the\ndivine nature.\u201d This implies, when we take ownership of (and\nresponsibility for) God\u2019s precious promises we in fact engage in the\ndivine nature. This enables us to live a victorious and prosperous\nexistence (both in the natural and the spiritual).
