As a mother, Cindy was really troubled by the rates of suicide in teenagers being so high but committed herself to make a positive impact for children.\n The leading cause of death for children ages 9-19 is suicide. This is unprecedented and shocking. Anxiety and depression diagnoses are also rapidly rising for both boys (10% increase from 2009) and girls (70% increase).
