The Fruehauf name may not be one you hear every day, but without it there would be no trucking industry as we know it. August Fruehauf invented the semi-trailer almost 100 years ago, and while the brand itself hasn’t been seen in the U.S. since the 90s, it’s getting ready to make a comeback.
