ANNETTE is one of the more challenging films I\u2019ve seen in a while. It\u2019s about a superstar celebrity tabloid couple (Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard) that have a child (wooden puppet) that is both more talented than either of them and is a haunting reminder of past misdeeds. This was a tough hang, but it has a unique ability to be indescribably enthralling as well as infuriating.

My sister and I started this experiment in June, trying to see as many musicals as possible and potentially changing my view of musicals in general. I don\u2019t particularly enjoy musicals as movies, so this is an on-going experiment we invite you to join us on this adventure with our take on ANNETTE.
