Two weeks ago, the Trump administration reversed a ban on road construction in parts of the Tongass National Forest in southeastern Alaska, opening the largest remaining old-growth temperate rain forest in North America to logging. On the edition of The Ecology Hour hosts Tim Bray and Bob Spies talk with biologist Dr. John Schoen, who spent most of his career living and working in the Tongass and is the author of "Tongass Odyssey: seeing the forest ecosystem through the politics of trees." The Ecology Hour airs every Tuesday night at 7pm on KZYX with rotating hosts.
