KUCI Subversity: Solos: Daring film from Singapore
Loo Zihan, a young filmmaker, directs and acts in this daring film from Singapore about the final stages of a boy's sexual and emotional relationship with a man. The film also depicts the boy's mother. Subversity host Daniel C. Tsang talks to Loo Zihan about his innovative and lyrical film, whose visual depiction of homosexual lovemaking among males (there is also a threesome) meant it could not be shown in Singapore, where homosexual acts among males remain criminalized.
