Pipeliner Notes: A correction in last week\u2019s episode. The site for rescuing macram\xe9 owls is www.macrameowl.com. The link was correct in the show notes but I made it plural when I said it on the podcast. My apologies to all macram\xe9 owls out there and their rescuers.

Nature Notes

\n

Satu mentioned that bats carry rabies and that is true. If you see a bat behaving strangely then beware.\xa0

\n

A hawk posed for me and I still had trouble identifying it. A Cooper's Hawk is about the size of a crow and has a rounded tail. The Sharp-shinned hawk is smaller and has a squared off tail.

\n

\n

The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry's cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.

\n

\n

The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I'll put a trinket on.

The only difficult part of this sweater is the crocheted flower closure. Difficult for me, that is.

Free Pattern. Top down raglan with running strands that make a pattern on the yoke, cuffs, and bottom.

\n

If I knit this pattern again I would probably add another button hole on the yoke and then not put buttons below that.

Rip Van Winkle Challenge

\n

Go through your Ravelry queue to find a project that has been asleep for a long time. Or maybe you have been asleep while others have been knitting this project. In your Ravelry queue you can see when you put projects in your queue.

\n

Another mission for the overachievers out there: go to your stash and try to find your oldest yarn and match it to an pattern in your queue.
