The Salem Witch Trials were a series of trials that occurred in colonial Massachusetts where more than 200 people were accused of witchcraft. Of the accused, 19 people were found guilty and executed by hanging; 14 women and 5 men. One accused man, Giles Corey, was pressed, or crushed to death. We\u2019re going to talk about the story of Giles Corey and the legacy of his execution that continued into the early 1980's.
