After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. Then a voice said to him, \u201cWhat are you doing here, Elijah?\u201d\xa0\n1) Why does God whisper?\n\xa0\nOswald Chambers:\n\u201cThe checks of the Spirit come in the most extraordinarily gentle ways, and if you are not sensitive enough to detect His voice you will quench it, and your personal spiritual life will be impaired. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
