b'Dr David Rasnick is an American biochemist with decades of specialisation in AIDS; arthritis; cancer; proteases in emphysema and parasites; drug design; and clinical diagnostics.\\n\\nHe also participated as a member of the Presidential AIDS Advisory Panel Of South Africa, under then-president Thabo Mbeki. Which, of course, is where it gets interesting. Mbeki was recalled for being an \\u201cAIDS denialist\\u201d because he questioned the link between HIV and AIDS.\\n\\nThe former president famously said that \\u201cAIDS is a disease of poverty\\u201d.\\n\\nDavid agrees.
