Today we talk with Josh Larson a senior staff developer at Shopify who is front and center in development of Hydrogen.\xa0 We learn how Hydrogen addresses the varying needs of shop owners to build storefronts quickly and effectively.\xa0 With rendering on the server only, this metaframework provides a toolkit helping customers build a more customized web presence.\xa0 We learn about Oxygen, which allows customers to host and deploy Hydrogen.

We also discuss the decision behind the decision to use React to build this framework, how the framework provides super-custom experiences for the user, and discuss some of the technical challenges faced when building it. \xa0
