Eric and Jason love their Shinoda films, so they jump back into the filmography of the great, little-appreicated Japanese master with a look at A Flame at the Pier and The Ballad of Orin. At first glance these two films - one a noir about Japanese labor unions and the other about a traveling blind performer - have little in common.
