Twelve families, including 19 children, aren\u2019t going hungry over the weekends because of the generosity of the people of the Colfax United Methodist Church and other congregations in the community. \u201cWe just knew that there was a need,\u201d says Rev. Terry Pollard, \u201cand we\u2019ll take care of it for however long it needs to be.\u201d He was amazed when in just two sort days his church raised almost double the financial goal they\u2019d set\u2026and they do more than just raise a few benevolent dollars. \u201cWe have several people in our church who get together to pack food for the families to pick up on Friday mornings,\u201d Pollard said, \u201cand that helps get them through the weekends.\u201d
