Iowa City STAR Community Rating
Iowa City was recently certified as a Four Star Community in the STAR Community Program. STAR stands for Sustainability Tools for Assessing and Rating Communities. STAR Communities is a national framework for measuring and advancing local government's environmental, economic and community efforts to achieve sustainability. This presentation covers what the STAR program is, why a city undertakes getting certified, and the results of our certification highlighting those areas we scored high in as well as those that we need to focus for improvement as a community.
