Proverbs 3:27 says "Do not withold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.' What is our motivation? To serve out of obligation or point others to Jesus and walk the distance. For God sees and looks at the condition of our hearts and whether He is pleased. Do we serve from a Spirit of love or from a grumbling complaining spirit that speaks from under our breaths if you know what I mean? Let's face it, we come across people who aren't easy to love, much less serve. You see in all walks of life you'll come across selfish people, proud people, those judgemental and those downright difficult. Now, if Jesus could do it, so can you and I, by asking God for a Servants heart. So let's challenge ourselves this week to serve others no matter how big or small and ask God to change our hearts.
