Raised in New York City and its theaters, Lilli Cooper became a Broadway star at age 16 in the original cast of \u201cSpring Awakening.\u201d She\u2019s worked on and off Broadway, played Elphaba in \u201cWicked\u201d and Sandy Cheeks in last season\u2019s \u201cSpongeBob SquarePants,\u201d and is now nominated for her first Tony Award in David Yazbek and Robert Horn\u2019s musical adaptation of \u201cTootsie\u201d (as working actor Julie, the role that won Jessica Lange an Oscar).
