Published: June 21, 2021, 1:50 p.m.

We are joined by Lauren Petersen and Briana Greer to discuss National Indigenous Peoples Day. Lauren and Briana explore the importance of this day and what it means to them as well as some of the key issues facing our shared communities. Lauren and Briana are both M\xe9tis and have dedicated their careers to educational awareness and cultural progress. We also focus on the importance of allyship from non-indigenous people and how they can contribute to the process of Truth and Reconciliation within Canada and abroad. It is important to note that Indigenous Peoples is a broad term that includes First Nations, Inuit and M\xe9tis peoples across Canada.
