Why do Black women have to go above and beyond to prove our victimization when the perpetrator is a male or Black male specifically? Why is it treated as a joke like our lives don't matter?? About 22% of Black women in the United States have experienced rape and 40% will experience intimate partner violence in their lifetime. Black women are killed at a higher rate than any other group of women. If you consider the fact that Black women date & marry mostly within their race, you can gather that a vast majority of these acts are carried out by Black men.
