Today is a great day! As other community's struggle to find good leaders, Maple Heights is lucky. This community is very fortunate to have a young lady, who is a powerhouse to step up and stand up to help the city move forward. Annette M. Blackwell is an 18 year resident of Maple Heights; she's a mother of three and grandmother of four. Candidate Blackwell and Mr. Blackwell hold strong family values. Their youngest daughter, Cyan is a stellar student at Maple Heights City Schools. In addition to this, Candidate Blackwell is the Parent Academy Coordinator of the parent skill- building program at Maple Heights City Schools. Intimately, she knows the struggles of some of the families living in this community.

For the last 15 years, she has worked\xa0for\xa0some of the biggest accounting and tax firms in the world, including Deloitte & Touche. Candidate Blackwell understands the importance of senior, youth and city services. Her priority is a city that is fiscally responsible and one that knows how to balance the city\u2019s budget. She marvels in economic development projects, and strongly believes in community re-investment opportunities.\xa0
