You, Murderer You

When we think of murder we  think of it as being one of the worst crimes and surely a direct sin against God.  But if you read Matthew chapter five verses 21 thru 26, you will find that murder in the eyes of God is more than the physical act of taking someones’ life.

When we wrongfully judge another or hold malice and anger in our hearts against someone, the bible says it is the same to God as murder and we stand in danger of his judgement the same as one who has physically taking the life of another.

What we fail to realize is that God created us, this world, this universe, with a divine plan in mind.  Everything God created, he created to depend on something else to sustain its existence.

Harmony to God is more than just a collaboration of rhythmic beats, it is woven into the fiber of his master plan as it involves all of his living creations complimenting, accentuating, and elevating each other.

So when we, with our imperfect selves argue and disagree, that does not go against God's rule of harmony, for some time it takes the clanging of drums and a few missed beats to create beautiful music.  What displeases God is when we allow an argument, or a disagreement into linger in the stew of anger, allowing in to build malice.

When we do this the very life God designed and created for us, is disrupted, brought to a screeching halt, equivalent to the very life of his creation ended.

God is so serious about us settling our disagreement and casting all anger and malice from our hearts, that he does not want too even commune with us, nor does he want our gift of worship.  Scriptures say first reconcile, be reconciled to your brother and then come and offer your gift.

Just like when music is out of sync, when the harmony isn’t right it is displeasing to us, same with God when we are out of sync, it’s like bad music playing in his heart and corrupting the atmosphere he designed for peace.

The Kingdom of Heaven is all that you have imagined and more, but each of us have to contribute to the harmony staying on beat.
