We keep repeating the wrongs of our history, because study it and allow ourselves to be consumed by emotions, instead of instruction, anger instead of elevation, division instead of a plan rooted in purpose.

Whatever is  your cultural background, you should know and be proud of your heritage, bask in the knowledge of the history tied to your heritage.  But we must never forget God will not bless, mess and division is a mess and an insult to the purpose of God.  

Using history to exalt division, anger, and prejudices is the trick of Satan, as he knows that if we ever revere history as God intended, it would disrupt his plans for our demise.

Philippians 2: 2-5  "So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, 2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus"
