I am sorry you may have been deceived. If any of you were told that giving your life to Christ makes your life easier, you were deceived

You thought by giving your life to Christ everything you now asked God for was going to begin falling from the sky, you were deceived.

I am sorry if you accepted Christ thinking you would never shed another tear, never have your heart broken, never be angry, or never be tempted by sin again.

Is giving your life to Christ, Fulfilling, yes! Joyful, absolutely!

But easier? Absolutely not. In some ways, life gets more difficult after we come to Christ. The struggle against sin, laziness, gluttony, swearing, anger, envy, self-centeredness, materialism, covetousness, and sexual sin seems never-ending. 

The world, the flesh, and the devil don’t go away because we have stepped into a relationship with Christ.

Accepting Christ as Savior means we receive instant justification before God, but not the world. Romans 10:10 “For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth, one confesses and is saved”. Accepting Christ as our Savior gives us divine and legal rights and privileges as sons or daughters of God, Romans 8:17 tells us we are joint heirs with Christ.
