She By God

Deborah as a godly leader understood the power associated with worship.  Deborah knew it is not candles, incense or sage, but her worship that shifts the atmosphere and ushers in the spirit of God. The closing lyrics to her song of  worship says “So may all your enemies perish, Lord!  But may all who love you be like the sun  when it rises in its strength.”

It was Deborah’s sincere heart for people and commitment to the will of God that kept God elevating and using her in various capacities.  The Israelites had been under the control of the Canaanite king Jabin and the commander of his army, Sisera. The Canaanites had 900 chariots of iron and ruled over Israel for 20 years (Judges 4:2–3).

One of Deborah’s judgments was to instruct Barak to summon 10,000 men and attack Jabin’s army. Likely fearful to comply with such a command, Barak told Deborah, “If you go with me, I will go; but if you don’t go with me, I won’t go” (Judges 4:8). She replied, “Certainly I will go with you. . . . But because of the course you are taking, the honor will not be yours, for the Lord will deliver Sisera into the hands of a woman”.

Notice Deborah, operating in the capacity of perseverer,  wasn’t looking for glory and she was willing to protect the integrity, pride and ego of Barack as a man by warning him of implications that would come.  In other words, I am willing to help you get what needs to be done, I just need you to understand what the whisperers will be saying when it’s all said and done.  www.BibleDeliverance.org
