Let Us Pray

Christ is our best example of prayerfulness. He Himself was a man of prayer and He taught His followers to pray . If the Son of Man saw a personal need to pray, how much more should we see the same need in ourselves?

Turning from prayer  is a defiance toward God’s command to love others. And we are not only to pray for ourselves or for people who are easy to pray for.

(1 Timothy 2:1).“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people”

1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NIV) "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."

Romans 15:1-7 We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
