Exercise Your Faith Muscle

Our physical bodies are strengthened when we submit to exercise.  And weight lifting is a way to develop muscle, and without weight this training is ineffective, the same applies to our faith muscle, to strengthen it we need weight.  One weight is the practice of loving our enemies, another is praying for those who persecute us.

Our ability to pray for those who persecute us is evidence of our love and our forgiveness. Every day push yourself to pray a little more than the day before for the one who hurt you and keep up this practice until God releases you, until you can look at their offense positively as a stumbling block that encouraged you to move differently, challenged you, extended you some godly wisdom.  Until there is no bitterness or resentment left toward that person or for what they did.

The Bible tells us without faith it is impossible to please God, just that alone should make us excited about exercising our faith muscles.
